This CPD course will cover equine dental diagnostics and procedures required to take your cases from the routine appointment into the clinic for further investigations and treatment. The course will deal with initial assessment, diagnostics, decision making and advanced treatment of periodontal disease. This course will detail the equipment and techniques required for oral extractions of incisors and cheek teeth.

This course will concentrate on:

 – Equine dental pathology (part 2)

 – Aetiology and progression of dental pathologies

 – Sedatives, local anaesthetics, regional anaesthesia

 – Oroscopic examinations, equipment and technique

 – Taking and interpreting radiographs

 – Nerve blocks, local anaesthesia and sedation protocols

 – Approach to periodontal disease

 – Advanced treatments for periodontal disease; diastema widening, interproximal bridging

 – Simple incisor, canine and cheek tooth extractions, EOTRH
