Moving on from Key Skills 1, this course covers the skills and knowledge to take your cases from the routine appointment into the clinic for further investigations and treatment. During the 3 day course you will learn to carefully and clinically examine, diagnose, prognosticate and provide initial treatment. We will also cover the creation of diagnostic images to send to a specialist for further advice on management or referral, and knowledge and techniques to effectively treat many cases in the clinic.
Topics include anatomy, pathology, oroscopic examination and equipment, radiography, sino-nasal anatomy, uncomplicated dental extractions, advanced odontoplasty, regional anaesthesia, sedation techniques, management of diastemata and periodontal disease.
